Hyundai Appoints Standox

The Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) has appointed Standox to give worldwide refinish training and technical support to its distribution and dealer network. In return HMC is to recommend Standox refinishing materials and processes on a non-exclusive basis. The agreement was signed by Mr Jung, General Manager Overseas Service Team, HMC in Korea on 27th April 2007. Speaking at the signing ceremony Mr Jung stated his appreciation for the high levels of support the refinish agreement offered to his company and their dealers, and expressed his desire to develop further joint programmes in the future.

Dr. Julio Salcedas, Brand Manager Standox and Managing Director of Standox GmbH added: "I am delighted that Hyundai Motor Company has recognised the high quality of Standox refinish products, training and technical support." He continued: "I firmly believe this agreement with HMC - the sixth largest motor manufacturer in the world, and one of the fastest growing - is just the first step in a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship between our two progressive and forward looking brands." As part of the agreement Standox will present HMC with a Master Manual of agreed refinish processes and training procedures, developed in co-operation with the company.

Easy processing, rapid application and high versatility.  Spies Hecker’s new Permacron Speed Blender 1036 is the key to cost-effective and skilful blend-in jobs. With time  being  so precious, the repairshop has to calculate competitive prices. Minor accident damage to bumpers, side panels and doors is quickly repaired. However, it is only by applying high-speed repair processes and perfectly balanced products that refinishers can eliminate minor damage efficiently and skilfully. The particular challenge of Speed Repairs is blending-in the paint material. This is where smooth and invisible blends are all-important.

”Optimum blend-in results are only possible with the right blend-in additive,” explains  Frank Barduna at Spies Hecker GmbH Technical Department.  “We have therefore geared our new Permacron Speed Blender 1036 specifically to spot repairs.” What makes all the difference is that the special blend-in additive helps to finely atomize the paint material in the area bordering the sanded existing paintwork.

Improved  wetting and flexible application. With new Spies Hecker Permacron Speed Blender 1036, both Permasolid Top Coats and Permasolid HS Clear Coats can be blended-in in fine graduations, as the product partially dissolves the existing paint. To achieve quality results, “the blend-in additive is applied undiluted to the blend-in area within the sanded surface,” stresses the expert from the Cologne-based paint manufacturer. This makes application easier and reduces process time. In addition, its good polishing characteristics ensure excellent gloss.

Higher speed and higher quality with Speed Repair. With its new Permacron Speed Blender 1036, Spies Hecker is introducing a blend-in additive designed specifically for Permasolid Clear Coats, the Permasolid HS Automotive Top Coat Series 275 and innovative Permasolid UV Starlight Clear Coat 9200. A specialized product for professional and efficient blending-in.

High-grade paints and a close relationship with the vehicle refinishing trade – this has been the philosophy of Spies Hecker for 125 years. The Cologne-based company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of refinishing paints. In over 60 countries, Spies Hecker offers its customers easy-to-use products, practical solutions and personal service on site.
