DaimlerChrysler Gives Bradleys Seal Of Approval

The DaimlerChrysler group has become the latest vehicle manufacturer to give Bradleys, Europe’s leading SMART repair product manufacturer, approval for use of its products within its franchised dealership network. The use of high-quality trim repair systems will provide DaimlerChrysler dealers with additional revenue opportunities without the cost, timing and quality issues that can be associated with subcontracting.

The endorsement means that Bradleys products are now approved for use in all of DaimlerChrysler’s 5,500 dealerships worldwide including Chrysler, Jeep, smart and the prestigious Mercedes-Benz and Maybach brands. “DaimlerChrysler is one of a growing number of vehicle manufactures who recognise the benefits that SMART repair can bring to their network,” commented Martin Bills, Bradleys general manager.

“SMART repair allows franchise dealerships to offer a fast and effective repair solution as a profitable in-house service. As the repairs can be made in a fraction of the time of other methods and do not require the use of large ovens and spray booths, it is a facility that can be easily offered alongside a normal vehicle service to give the dealership a valuable new revenue stream.” Bradleys has developed a unique repair kit for DaimlerChrysler’s use. Based on its successful 4-in1 kit, repairs can be made to trim, leather, velour and plastics. The kit contains everything required to make high-quality repairs including preparation materials, applicators, heating and cooling equipment and a selection of paints which match original DaimlerChrysler colours.

To ensure that dealerships are able to deliver the highest-quality repairs, Bradleys will be supporting DaimlerChrysler with a series of training seminars. “It is essential that we help our customers deliver the very best repairs,” said Bills. “To facilitate this we will be running a series of training courses designed to teach best practice to DaimlerChrysler’s trainers. The courses will be based on our IMI accredited programmes and will allow DaimlerChrysler’s trainers to filter best practice down to the dealerships who take on our products.”

Bradleys is Europe’s leading SMART repair product manufacturer with a comprehensive range of products and consumables for the fast and effective repair of paint, plastics, leather, vinyl, glass, velour and alloy wheels. Its products have received OE approval from vehicle manufacturers including BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Nissan and Toyota. As well as supplying high-quality products to franchise dealerships, bodyshops and mobile repairers, it has developed and runs SMART repair training courses which have received Quality Assessment Award (QAA) status from the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI), giving successful candidates an industry recognised qualification.
