IBIS Speakers Announced
With less than four months to go before the opening of this year’s International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS), Chairman Chris Mann reports that the line-up of at this year’s IBIS is now taking shape. “Following last years IBIS keynote speaker [ex-Ford President and COO, Sir Nick Scheele] was always going to be a tough job and I am delighted that we have, in Tony Aquila, an equally inspirational individual to get IBIS 2007 off to a flying start with his keynote speech ‘Re-thinking the Repair Market.’ This presentation will set out his thoughts on the challenges currently faced by the industry, his views on why it is in urgent need of fundamental change and his vision for a successful future,” says Mann.
“Tony Aquila, the Chairman and CEO of Solera Inc. [the private equity company that owns Audatex] is not only a remarkable businessman, but, having started his career working in a bodyshop, is also in a unique position to understand and articulate the barriers — and the opportunities — facing the industry over the next few years. Tony Aquila has powerful and uniquely informed views on the collision repair industry, I am really looking forward to sharing his vision,” Mann continued.
“In addition to Tony Aquila the IBIS 2007 speaker line-up includes top-level experts from France, Latin America, the UK, Europe and the USA, providing decision-critical information crucial to the future development and success of the collision repair industry,” adds Mann. “I am delighted to be able to report that nearly 90 percent of available delegate places for IBIS 2007 have already been taken up, so I would urge all those who plan to attend but who have not yet confirmed their place to book now, or risk missing out on what has become the world’s most important gathering of collision repair industry leaders and influencers.”
IBIS is sponsored by 3M, Allstate Insurance Company, Audatex, AXA, Car-O-Liner, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Honda Motor Europe, Nobilas International, PPG and The sia Sika Alliance.
The delegate package includes attendance at all the Symposium sessions, two nights’ accommodation at the Hotel Martinez, the Delegates’ Welcome Dinner on Wednesday, May 30 and the International Dinner on Thursday, May 31.
