Simplifying paint mixing ratios for commercial vehicles



Spies Hecker has developed an easy way to work out the precise ratios of hardener and reducer to use with surfacer, top and clear coats when refinishing vans and commercial vehicles. This clever device removes any guesswork and enables the correct ratios to be used, helping arrive at the optimum drying time and, ultimately, a top quality finish.

The new Mixing Ratio Disc is straightforward to use. The paint material being applied is simply selected on the disc and the matching mixing ratio appears in the window. Spies Hecker’s Tyrone Kirk explains, “This is a simple yet effective tool that puts an end to time-wasting searches and uncertainty. If the refinisher uses the new Mixing Ratio Disc when refinishing commercial vehicles, he can be confident he’s mixing the optimum combination of surfacer, top coat and clear coat for a perfect finish”.
