29.01.2009 2009 surface preparation training programme from Mirka Abrasives
As a world leader in surface finishing and abrasives innovation, Mirka Abrasives has just announced its 2009 Surface Preparation Training Programne, available at no extra cost, to all automotive bodyshops. Mirka recognises that no two bodyshops are the same. However, the demand for a high quality finish does - with this in mind Mirka will review the existing processes with the repairer and recommend where appropriate an improved one. ATA accredited Mirka Technicians are trained in presenting and demonstrating their unique sanding products on all current paint systems in the automotive refinish market. “Training brings many benefits to both the repairer and the customer,” says Craig Daycock, Mirka Abrasives Sales Director.
“In order to meet the challenges presented by ever more complex vehicle construction and paint technology, technicians need all the training and support they can to safely and efficiently return a damaged vehicle to its original condition.
| | The finished repair is only as good as the surface preparation that has taken place before the paint has been applied and if the incorrect sanding processes have been used, reworks are the inevitable and costly result. Therefore Mirka is delighted to be launching its new certificated training programme for 2009.” Mirka Training sessions will be supported by a trained technician at the bodyshop. The duration of training sessions is dependent on the programme being conducted and the skill levels of the trainees. Bodyshops wishing to make an appointment for this free of charge training should contact Mirka on +44 1908 375533. Training programmes can include:
