17.02.2009 Travelers Insurance selects Glass’s Travelers Insurance Company Ltd. Ireland – provider of property, liability cover and risk management services in a number of business sectors – has chosen GlassMatix as its sole vehicle repair estimating system. The agreement is a key element in Travelers’ strategic growth plans for 2009, supporting its efforts to add significant numbers of new motor policyholders.
From March the Dublin-based insurer will begin implementing the latest, fourth-generation version of the GlassMatix system – developed by Glass’s across its aligned motor repairer network throughout Ireland. Travelers has traditionally concentrated on the niche supercar segment of the automotive market, and has chosen GlassMatix to underpin its plan to expand policy provision to more owners and drivers of mainstream vehicles. Travelers concluded that GlassMatix delivered the most user-friendly, cost-effective and accurate solution – from the perspective of both insurer and work provider. GlassMatix dominates the repair estimating market in Ireland and the UK. Working with a nationwide network of aligned repairers across Ireland, Travelers’ decision to mandate GlassMatix was facilitated by the network’s confidence in, and familiarity with, the previous versions of GlassMatix.
“Many of the repairers within our bodyshop network are established users of GlassMatix as their core estimating solution,” comments John Sheehy, Head of Claims at Travelers Insurance. “Choosing GlassMatix means we can manage our motor claims to the satisfaction of all parties, providing accurate and acceptable repair claims costs in a fully transparent and efficient manner.” An all-new version of GlassMatix has recently been released – providing additional functionality – while pricing has remained unchanged.
“We are very pleased to be able to support the expansion of Travelers Insurance in Ireland,” says John Jeffery, Customer Care Manager within the Bodyshop and Insurance division at Glass’s. “We have built a strong and respected position within this sector and are well placed to support the company’s ambitious plans. We look forward to continuing to work with Travelers in the future as it strengthens its position within the market.”
