Race to the bottom?
The Irish Bodyshop Journal has learned that some cost conscious insurance companies are looking to the bottom line with regard to the fitment of non OE parts in the collision repair process. In what is being perceived by the trade as a “race to the bottom” some bodyshops have raised safety concerns about an apparent change in policy, which has seen a number of insurance companies recommending the fitment of non OE parts.
