Liquidator appointed at Belgard Motors
The High Court has appointed a liquidator to Tallaght-based Belgard Motors Group. Established in 1981, Belgard Motors was recognised as one of the biggest dealerships in the Republic in terms of sales and had possibly the largest on site after sales departments and bodyshops. The company, which held Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes and Mazda franchises was Ireland’s official Porsche dealer. Belgard Motors had a staff of 82 people, having laid off 37 earlier this year. The group comprises five companies: JD Brian, trading as East Coast Print and Publicity, JD Brian Motors trading as Belgard Motors; JD Brian Services; Autoplatz, trading as Porsche Centre, Dublin; and East Coast Car Parts.
