Are you offering safety checks and top ups?
Franchised dealers and other service outlets should take a lead from Vaukhall Masterfit in the UK, which has extended its Winter Safety Check & Top Up offer, writes John Loughran.
The Winter Safety Check & Top Up includes a 25-point visual vehicle safety inspection, a top up of all vital fluids and a tyre pressure check – for £35.
Each vehicle checked gets a complimentary Winter Car Care Pack, worth over £12, which includes a window de-icer, an ice scraper, de-misting pad and antifreeze screen wash and clearview solution.
Franchised dealers and other service outlets could look at the option of offering a Spring Safety Check & Top Up for as little as €29.95 incl. VAT.
Safety checks, by their very nature will in most cases highlight work that needs to be done, bringing more revenue to the workshop.
Such checks would also help to keep your business in the limelight in terms of service and potential sales.
