Hookit™ Purple+ from 3M
3M has recently unveiled its Hookit™ Purple+ Multihole abrasive sheets that are designed to drive down bodyshop costs according to the company.
The new product features an innovative abrasive construction with chevron multihole extraction to offer the very best solution to efficient filler sanding.
The new product helps to increase profitability by increasing vehicle repair throughput, working to an efficient process and reducing material consumption.
Hookit™ Purple+ Multihole features an unique kiss-cut underscore patented technology that enables the 396mm-long abrasive sheet to be easily converted into two fit-for-purpose 198mm sheets.
The 3M solution to achieve maximum dust extraction is to add hundreds of 2mm holes that have been purposely arranged on the sheet in a chevron formation.
Direct air flow from panel to extraction system is achieved by aligning the chevron pattern with oval slots on upgraded handblocks, that are now available.
