Volkswagen Group Ireland cuts parts prices
Volkswagen Group Ireland (VWGI) has announced a large-scale reduction in the price of regular service, maintenance and collision repair parts.
The price reduction comes as good news for retail and trade and is a massive investment in tough economic times.
The price cut gives VWGI franchised dealers (Volkswagen, Volkswagen Light Commercial, Audi, Skoda and Seat) the ability to pass on great savings to Irish motorists and trade customers on genuine parts.
“VWGI and its dealer network are committed to improving customer satisfaction. With this step VWGI has taken a deliberate action to reduce the cost of ownership in recessionary times,” said Andreas Duebler, Director of Group Service for Volkswagen Group Ireland.
For the trade these reductions also represent good news. Take for example a 2006 Golf 1.9 TDI – the recommended retail price (RRP) of a Timing Belt was €144 and is now €116, a bonnet was €246, now €217, a brake disc was €65, now €47 and a shock absorber was €110, now €80.
The good news doesn’t end there. According to Volkswagen Aftersales Manager, Alan Bateson, Volkswagen Genuine parts offer proven safety and now even better value. “Volkswagen genuine parts come with the peace of mind that the part is the right part for the job. They offer fit-first-time convenience, a two year warranty and prices that are highly competitive even when compared with non-OE parts. Independent test results prove conclusively that our genuine parts are safer and more economical over time than the comparable parts which have been tested. Our number one goal is that we deliver superior quality parts and service to you through our dealer network”.
