ACT helps produce accurate repair assessments
Inter-est, the technology firm behind the Vision auto assessing and Inter-cept FNOL solutions has launched ACT (Aggregated Client Times). ACT covers Mechanical, Electrical and Trim replacement times for those items not included in Thatcham (TTS) data.
This makes it easier and faster for repairers to complete full accurate assessments of the cost and time associated with repairing a damaged vehicle.
ACT times have been produced by data-mining and analysing hundreds of thousands of assessments over an extended period of real life use. The ACT data is authoritive because it takes best advantage of the customers’ expertise.
ACT successfully went live on Friday 28 March. The additional functionality is included for Inter-est clients at no extra charge.
When repairers prepare an estimate, all ACT items are highlighted in blue and are also marked as Time Type ACT on the print out and Parts Details view of the system. They are also reflected in the Summaries.
Now there will be less need for “opinion time” in estimates as ACT information is available for most items. ACT for example provides times for mechanical items (suspension, brakes, etc.) that are not available from a Thatcham only system.
The new assessments with ACT are presented in a format that is clear and comprehensive, making the enhanced functionality easy-to-access for all.
Michael Nixon CEO of Inter-est commented: “We are really proud of this latest development and have received a great reaction from both our repairer and insurer customers. ACT (Aggregated Client Time) is real world data, validated for over a decade, which empowers users to produce comprehensive assessments quickly and accurately.
ACT absolutely fits in with our principles of making things better, making things faster.”
