AkzoNobel and Mazda sign a new three year deal

AkzoNobel and Mazda (UK) have just announced the renewal of their partnership deal, confirming the continued use of the premium Sikkens paint range across Mazda’s network of repairers.

The contract retains AkzoNobel as an approved aftermarket paint supplier to Mazda having beaten-off competition through an independent tender process. The three year deal builds on a strong partnership with Mazda, which has seen the two companies working together in the UK since 2005. Based on the supply of the latest range Sikkens automotive repair paint systems, the agreement also includes AkzoNobel’s renowned support services.

Parts and Accessories Manager at Mazda Motor Europe, David Elphick, confirmed: “We are thrilled to be continuing the relationship with AkzoNobel, giving confidence to our network of repairers who trust the quality of the Sikkens product range and benefit from the technical support, training and other value added business activities which is all part AkzoNobel’s partnership approach.”

EMEA Regional Key Account Manager for AkzoNobel, Neil Read continued: “Signing a further three year contract with Mazda, following a competitive tender process, is great news! We have been supplying Sikkens paint to the Mazda aftermarket repair network for many years. This renewal is testament to the continued strength of the innovative product range and our service solution approach in which we put our customers at the forefront of everything we do.”

In the UK Mazda has a network of 140 authorised bodyshops, plus there are similar deals in place across its European operation.
