All clear for a fast finish

New Spies Hecker Permasolid® HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 provides simple application and extra-fast drying. Designed for everything from standard repairs to Speed Repair.

With a drying time of 10 to 35 minutes at 60°C metal temperature, new Spies Hecker Permasolid® HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 boasts a wide variety of application options meaning that good results are achieved even in less favourable conditions in the spray booth. This innovative high solids clear coat contributes to increased optimisation of the overall work process.

The new Permasolid® HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 is perfectly adapted to all Permahyd® basecoat systems from Spies Hecker, including the new generation waterborne basecoat, Permahyd Hi-TEC, and is applied in 1.5 coats.

Varied uses

“In the development of the product, we wanted to make the application process for clear coats even more efficient,” explains Dan Hartland, Spies Hecker brand marketing coordinator UK and Ireland. “Thanks to its rapid drying, Permasolid® HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 can be quickly and easily polished which boosts bodyshop productivity.”

Additionally, the high solids product is suitable for different repair methods. The clear coat can be used for partial and full resprays as well as for spot repairs. The VOC-compliant clear coat ideally suited for bodyshops that frequently carry out Speed Repairs.

“Refinishers achieve exceptionally fast overall results on spot repairs if they use Permasolid® HS Accelerator 9025,” Hartland advises. By mixing it with Permasolid® VHS Hardeners, drying time can be varied to allow even more flexibly – optimum through-drying is assured even in different drying conditions. The mixing ratio is 3:1 with Permasolid® VHS Hardeners plus Permacron® Reducer/Permasolid® HS Accelerator 9025.
