Audatex offering free ‘Bodyshop Image Capture’ trials

Solera Audatex is offering a free trial of its ‘Bodyshop Image Capture’ to all bodyshops in the Republic of Ireland, until the end of 2020.

As Ireland continues to grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic and adapts to operating under social distancing measures, repairers have to change the way they work.

Using Audatex Bodyshop Image Capture solution will allow bodyshop users to interact with customers remotely by using the latest cloud-based technology. Repairers can now work and interact with customers, while social distancing, in a digital-first, contactless way.

Audatex Bodyshop Image Capture provides high-quality images that give the repairer valuable insight into the vehicle’s condition before it even arrives on site.

It enables repairers to send their customers an SMS request for images of their vehicle’s condition and damage. Customers receiving an image capture request are guided to capture the required images using a smartphone, with no app download required. The bodyshop receives an email notification and can access the images provided via their Audaenterprisegold assessments or via the secure user interface.

An early adopter of the system in Ireland, ARG (Accident Repair Group Ireland) has already seen an improved customer experience and operational efficiencies.

John Dennings, director of ARG, said: “Obviously the current Covid situation has meant we have all had to change the way we work, and Bodyshop Image Capture has been a major game-changer for us. A simple text to a customer means we have images to start the estimate construction earlier, they automatically land in our Audatex shell, but importantly the customer feels much safer not having to visit our site or having someone visit them.

“Time is such a tangible factor here, before the introduction of Bodyshop Image Capture we had to call the customer, arrange a suitable time for them to come to the site, and spend more time than we really needed speaking with them when they arrived. Time is money, and using this system is saving us around an hour per customer.”

Bodyshop Image capture allows bodyshops to begin the damage estimation process, gain early repair authorisation and pre-order required parts, all before the vehicle has arrived on site.

Chris Wright, managing director at Solera Audatex UK and Ireland, said: “As our customers adapt to these new ways of working, it is clear that Audatex technology can not only help ensure social distancing but also create real efficiencies for the long-term. Bodyshop Image Capture is currently available on a free trial for any bodyshop wanting to keep their employees safe and their business profitable during these difficult times.”
