Auto Trade EXPO postponed to 2021
I hope that you and your families are keeping safe and well during this COVID 19 crisis. I would like to update you with news of the Irish Auto Trade EXPO 2020, which was scheduled to take place on October 17th & 18th this year. Due to the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, and after great consideration, we have decided to postpone the Irish Auto Trade EXPO 2020 to new dates in 2021.
This action has been taken primarily in the interest of the hundreds of exhibitors, thousands of visitors, the stand builders and all the staff involved in servicing the largest event for the auto aftermarket industry in Ireland.
We strongly believe that in postponing the Irish Auto Trade EXPO 2020 to October 16th & 17th, 2021, will prove to be of benefit to all all parties. It will be a very welcome and opportune event in the 2021 business calendar as all aftermarket businesses will be back fully and growing their sales after this pandemic.
I’m sure you agree that in 18 months time, as opposed to in 6 months from now, it will prove to be the optimum time for exhibitors to show their new products and the auto aftermarket on the island of Ireland will have a strong appetite to see what can assist them in progressing their work and businesses. It will be the turbo boost for the Irish auto aftermarket in October next year.
We are fortunate in the aftermarket side of the auto industry, as recovery always proves to be much swifter than with new vehicle sales. In the remainder of 2020, we will see aftermarket businesses getting going steadily again. Then in 2021, we expect to see aftermarket businesses driving on, having weathered the current disruption and emerged stronger after the latest economic crisis.
With this in mind, the Irish Auto Trade EXPO 2020 will now be the Irish Auto Trade EXPO 2021. And the response from exhibitors who had secured their stands for October 2020, to transfer their agreements to the postponed dates in 2021 has be amazing. We have agreed with practically all of the circa 90 per cent of exhibitors that we have managed to get in contact in with to secure their same stand size and location, at the guaranteed same rate for the new 2021 dates.
