Axalta launches e-Learning Campus at Automechanika Chicago

It’s been said that ”the more you do, the more you can do,” and when it comes to collision repair training this is definitely the case. Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, demonstrated its commitment to supporting the collision repair industry by launching its new e-learning programme called the Axalta Learning Campus at Automechanika Chicago 2015 last weekend.

The Axalta Learning Campus offers web-based training content that can be accessed and tracked anytime, anywhere.

“The Axalta Learning Campus provides refinish technicians with the ability to register for our traditional in-person training centre classes and e-learning opportunities,” explained Jim Evans, Training Director, North America for Axalta.

“Content includes quick tip videos, webinars and much more. The Learning Campus allows participants to select the content that is most important to them in order to help them improve their knowledge and be more productive. The Learning Campus puts customised training capability at their fingertips, allowing collision repair business owners and managers to select the management training modules that are most relevant for them.”

In addition to showcasing the Learning Campus at the show, Axalta highlighted its ColorNet® formula-retrieval system and its ProfitNet® collision management system. Painters also had the opportunity to demo Axalta’s waterborne systems.

Visitors were able to access the Axalta event website in advance of Automechanika Chicago and sign up ahead of time for sessions in the mixing room and paint booth at the show. On each of the three days they featured waterborne basecoats using one of their global refinish brands – Standox on the Friday; Cromax on the Saturday; and Spies Hecker on the Sunday.

In Chicago, Axalta pointed out to us that it strives to be at the forefront of innovation in auto refinishing. From changes driven by technology to new solutions developed to meet evolving environmental regulations, Axalta says that it is focused on helping its customers improve productivity and profitability.
