Axalta ranked fifth largest coatings company

Axalta Coating Systems, the parent company of DuPont Refinish has been ranked as the fifth largest coatings supplier in the world, according to Coatings World magazine.

The rankings were published in the magazine’s Top Companies Report found in its July 2013 issue. The ranking is based on 2012 revenues reported or converted into U.S. Dollars.

This is the first year that Axalta has appeared in the annual Top Companies Report since becoming an independent company earlier in the year. This year’s Top Companies Report profiled 83 companies with revenues over $100 million.

Axalta’s liquid and powder coating brands are sold in 130 countries, produced in 35 manufacturing centers on six continents and supported by seven research and development centers devoted to developing the latest coating technologies to meet customer needs.
