Axalta showcases latest tech at IBIS Milan
Axalta participated in the latest International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) Global Summit 2019: ‘Passion for Progress’ in Milan, Italy from June 10-12.
Axalta showcased its ‘Fast Cure Low Energy’ technology and its cloud-based ‘Digital Colour Management’ to an audience of refinishers and industry experts from all over the world.
Jim Muse, Axalta’s Vice President of Sales for Global Refinish said: “Passion for Progress resonates with Axalta, because passion is at the core of how we innovate for customers every day. Nowhere is this more evident than in our premium refinish brands, Cromax, Spies Hecker, and Standox. Our dedication to innovation gives our customers confidence in our fast, efficient, high-quality coating technologies and in our integrated digital business solutions. These work together to make the entire paint repair journey faster, easier and more profitable.”
Axalta’s patented Fast Cure Low Energy technology cuts process times in professional bodyshops by up to 50 per cent and reduces energy consumption by up to 70 per cent while still achieving the best quality repair. Bodyshops can also use this speed of performance to offer rapid repair services that can increase profitability.
Axalta’s Digital Colour Management uses a cloud-based colour management system that enables bodyshops to handle the entire colour retrieval and colour mixing processes not only completely digitally, but also 100 per cent wirelessly – something that is unique to Axalta.
Axalta is also showcased RepScore.net, its innovative digital network management system that has been specifically developed to facilitate the cooperation between bodyshops and network owners like fleet, lease and insurance companies or car manufacturers.
The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s F1 W10 EQ Power+ – the race car in which the team’s drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are competing in the 2019 FIA Formula One Championship, also made an appearance in Milan.
Axalta has a long-lasting relationship with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport as Official Team Supplier, and the company’s premium global refinish brand Spies Hecker has been on the team’s race cars for more than five years. Axalta’s Spies Hecker paint ensures that the cars are light, durable and can withstand the extreme track conditions, while also looking stunning.
