BASF Coatings expands Ineos partnership

BASF’s Coatings division has expanded its partnership with Ineos Automotive, with both companies signing an agreement on a global automotive refinish body and paint development.

For the next three years, BASF says it will help Ineos Automotive build its global body and paint program focusing on “the highest level of industry standards and sustainable refinish solutions”.

The new partnership includes the supply of sustainable refinish solutions, expertise and latest digital colour-matching solutions and training from BASF’s Glasurit and R-M brands.

The first Ineos vehicle to benefit from BASF’s surface technology is the Grenadier 4×4, which is imported and distributed in Ireland by Orangeworks Automotive.

BASF Coatings and Ineos Automotive have been working together since 2021. The partnership covers the Ineos bodyshop network across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific.

“We are very happy to partner with BASF to develop a world-class sustainable paint program in the next few years which follows the highest quality standards in paint-work repairs for premium vehicles,” said Steve Graham, hlobal head of aftersales, Ineos Automotive.

“With BASF’s technical support and management experience in the latest body shop standards, the Ineos Automotive network can now rely on a partner that shares our commitment to excellence in customer service.”
