Bodyshops get spraygun documentation advice

Bodyshops purchasing new sprayguns guns are being advised to retain the relevant technical documentation that comes with the gun and to obtain a hard copy of the technical specification for existing equipment in order to demonstrate the transfer efficiency of the gun.

The approved assessors who carry out the inspections of bodyshops for compliance with the paints regulations have reported back to the EPA on the initial findings of their first inspections, and this has provided useful information on common issues which arise during the assessment.

Issues arising around spraygun transfer efficiency has arisen, mainly due to the fact that the relevant technical documentation relation to the sprayguns wasn’t available.
