Component Distributors appoints new Sales Manager

Component Distributors, part of the CD Group, has appointed Iain Knox to the position of Sales Manager. Reporting to Sales Director, Hugo Murphy, Iain will be heading up the sales team in the Republic of Ireland.

Commenting on Iain’s appointment Hugo said: “Iain has been with the business now for over six years and has learnt every aspect of the operation. With the knowledge he has gained and relationships he has established I am confident that he will do very well in his new role.” An accomplished sportsman, Iain represented Ireland U19 at the 1997 Rugby World Cup in Argentina, where they finished third. He also manages to continue to hold down a single figure golf handicap. A qualified physiotherapist, Iain was also part of the Irish Cricket World Cup management team when they qualified for the knock out stages of the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. In 2008 Iain joined the CD Group with the intention of building a career in the Automotive Aftermarket. Commenting on his recent appointment Iain said: “I am really excited about this new role. Since the company opened its new RDC in Cork in 2011 I have spent a lot of time with the team both there and in Dublin.” In summing up his opportunity Iain stated: “I am really looking forward to taking what I know about the CD business internally and using it to help our customers.
