Conor McKevitt of Mallusk awarded a BEM
Conor McKevitt of Mallusk, a former Wrights Accident Repair Centre employee, has been awarded a BEM (British Empire Medal) for achieving a silver medal for car painting at the 2019 WorldSkills competition in Kazan.

He attended Riverpark Training in Mallusk and was coached by Richard Wheeler from Coleg Gwent as his WorldSkills Training Manager.
McKevitt was an employee of the Northern Ireland bodyshop at the time of the competition in Russia, where he won silver for car painting.
He has now been awarded a BEM as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
McKevitt won the gold medal for Auto Refinishing at the IMI SkillAuto competition in 2017, which led him to being selected for the UK team in Kazan last year.
