Copart heading towards net zero operations

Copart has said that it’s taken a number of steps to support its ‘Plan Net Zero’ commitment of achieving the “greenest fleet on the street”.

Apart from providing Euro VI and DVS compliancy across its transporter fleet, it is also investing significantly into JCB loaders with lower fuel consumption and emissions, along with DAF and Volvo car transporters to enhance fleet efficiency.

Further, the company launched its Driver Academy Programme in partnership with HGVC earlier this year to provide drivers with carbon neutral training on safer and more sustainable habits behind the wheel.

This has further been boosted by the recent acquisition of Hills Salvage & Recycling, which included the Hills UK transporter fleet and specialist technology systems.

Copart will be exhibiting at this year’s Auto Trade EXPO, which takes place from Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16 at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
