Corcoran’s Vehicle Repair Centre takes new DAF XF 530 FAD

Corcoran’s Vehicle Repair Centre in Portlaoise, named CV Bodyshop of the Year at the 2025 Irish Auto Trade Awards, has bolstered its fleet with the recent addition of a new DAF XF 530 FAD from DAF Trucks Ireland.

Based on a new Generation DAF XF FAD 8X4 530 chassis, the company’s new truck comes with a sleeper cab and recovery equipment which were supplied by Boniface Engineering Ltd.

Corcoran’s Vehicle Repair Centre was one of the first in Ireland to order the new generation DAF XF 8X4, and carried out the fitting the Boniface Engineering body which is the first to be fitted with a century 1150 XP 360-degree rotation crane with seven winches and Maxi Reach under lift with a 50,000kg capacity.

Company founder Gerry Corcoran started out in the recovery industry in 1980, and has grown the business to be one of the largest heavy recovery operators in Ireland.
