Diagnostics Solutions to host F-Gas training course
Diagnostic Solutions is running a course on the skills required to handle refrigerants used in mobile air conditioning (M.A.C.) which are classified as either fluorinated gasses (F-Gas) or Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS). This is necessary for the service, maintenance, recovery and leak checking of mobile air conditioning.
Through an innovative blended learning programme, training is delivered via one-day training sessions, reducing workplace absence through Presentations, Q&A and Practical Workshop Assessment.
Learning Objectives:
- 〉Understand the function, layout and operating principles of mobile air conditioning systems, including the components, equipment, tools for system recovery, vacuum, leak checking, flushing and recharging.
- 〉Understand the procedures required for service and general maintenance.
- 〉Understand the environmental implications, legal, equipment, procedures and Health and Safety requirements for storage, refrigerant identification, refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, adding oil, refrigerant recharging, final leak detection, flushing and disposal of Mobile Air Conditioning refrigerants and components.
- 〉Competency in refrigerant identification, initial system evaluation – testing, via pressure gauges, temperature, air distribution and speed. Recovery, vacuum check, leak detection, visual, electronic, oil injection and charging for service and general maintenance and repair procedures for both thermal expansion valve or fixed orifice tube air conditioning systems.
Who Should Attend?
All personnel involved with the service, maintenance, recovery or decommissioning of Mobile (automotive) air conditioning (M.A.C.) or refrigeration equipment. Minimum Entry Requirements:
National craft certificate (or) Equivalent experience.
The course takes place at Diagnostics Solutions’ Training Centre at Unit B4, South City Business Centre, Whitestown Way, Tallaght, Dublin 24 on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7, starting at 9.00am.
The course leading to an IMIAL level 3 Award in Automotive Refrigerant Handling (EC842 – 2006) (QCF) Refrigerant Handling for Mobile Air Conditioning Systems costs €295.00 per person and includes certification, refreshments and lunch.
