Enterprise Rent-A-Car aims to plant 50 million trees
A group of 20 employees from Enterprise Rent-A-Car this week participated in a tree planting day at the Ardeo Sport Horses facility at Mount John, Newcastle, Co. Wicklow.
The group was joined by Councillor Shay Cullen, Cathaoirleach of the Wicklow Municipal District, who helped the team to plant a mix of whitethorn, hawthorn and holly shrubs.
The tree planting project took place as part of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s pledge to plant 50 million trees in 50 years across Europe and North America.

George O’Connor MD of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland said: “Our team had a great day in Co. Wicklow as another group of our Ireland employees played their part in achieving our 50 million trees pledge. As part of the initiative, to date we have supported the planting of some 115,000 trees at various sites across Ireland. Giving something back in the communities where we live and work is a really important part of our business mindset and today’s activity helps to make that commitment a reality.”
Councillor Cullen said: “I was delighted to see the Enterprise team come to Wicklow as part of their tree planting pledge. I am only too happy to get out and support such corporate social responsibility projects that bring about real benefits to communities across Ireland, including our own here in Co. Wicklow.”
