Enterprise Rent-A-Car organises 19th annual festive Toy Run

Christmas came early this year for the boys and girls of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, as Santa, Rudolph, and his elves paid a surprise visit as part of Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s annual ‘Toy Run’.

For the 19th consecutive year, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, part of the world’s largest car rental company, has partnered with Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, to deliver a sleigh full of treats and toys to some very special children who will spend Christmas in hospital this year.

Managing Director of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ireland, George O’Connor, said: “Our annual Christmas Toy Run really means a lot to us. It’s an event that everyone at Enterprise looks forward to, and staff from our 25 branches around Ireland have been busy fundraising throughout the year in advance of the visit.”

Tracey Wall, Director of Nursing, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, added: “It is just fantastic that this is Enterprise’s 19th year working with Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, on the Toy Run. We are extremely grateful for their continuous support to the children and families attending the hospital, especially at Christmas – a truly magical time for children.

Although we try to get as many children as we can home for Christmas, approximately 100 very ill children will spend Christmas day in the hospital, so this event really helps us to add some magic and create a special experience for our patients, their families and staff at the hospital.”
