Express Spares becomes Gedore distributor
Express Spares has become an official distributor in Ireland for Gedore, adding one of the world’s leading premium automotive tool makers to its ever-expanding portfolio, through its Drivetrain initiative.
Based in Athboy, County Meath, Express Spares is a family-owned business that has become the go-to specialist clutch and dual mass flywheel provider to independent garages throughout Ireland since 2012. The company is run by brothers Enda and Darragh McKiernan.
In 2022, Express Spares partnered with Gedore, a German company that has been manufacturing high-quality tools, specialist tools and tailor-made solutions for versatile, safe and professional use by the automotive industry and trade since 1919.
Darragh explains the brothers’ decision to partner with Gedore Automotive: “With over 16,000 products, the company has one of the widest offerings and un-rivalled quality of any tool manufacturer in Europe, ranging from high voltage and torque tools to workshop equipment as well as pullers.”
He added: “Along with the stationary spring compressor, which puts safety and efficiency first, we are excited to bring Gedore’s Modulo Assembly Trolley to the Irish market.

As part of a ‘Universal’ special tool trolley, the Gedore Automotive Modulo system provides a unique skillset to the mechanic; a hydraulically driven aid to drive out shafts, wheel hubs, bearings, bushings and ball joints.
Saving time, providing an original repair as well as ease of use, the system covers 90 per cent of all vehicles undercarriage.
Alongside the trolley the unique ‘strut’ compressor KL-5501 B offers a quick, simple and universal solution for virtually all struts out there.
