Five men charged with theft of 300 catalytic converters
Five men have been charged in relation to the theft of 300 catalytic converters worth around €150k in April last year.
Gardaí seized the 300 catalytic converters during a raid on 14th April, 2021, of a business premises in St. Margaret’s, Co Dublin.
All five men, ranging in ages from mid 40s to early 50s have now been charged and are due to appear in court this Thursday, 15th December, at 10:30am at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
Gardaí said at the time of the raid that they seized 300 catalytic convertors weighing a total of 1,275kg, estimated to be valued at €150,000.
The search was conducted as part of the ongoing investigation into the theft of catalytic converters throughout the Dublin Metropolitan Region and subsequent regions, Gardaí said in April 2021.
