Fixed Penalty Notices on the horizon
The Department of Environment, Culture and Local Government is considering bringing in a Fixed Payment Penalty notice for non compliant bodyshops.
Bodyshop.ie has learned that the Fixed Payment Penalty will be enforced by the Local Authorities.
It is understood that primary legislation will have to be brought before the Dail, to give effect to Fixed Payment Penaltynotices. However, that could be some way off.
Sources say it will be the second half of next year, at the earliest, before legislation could be brought before the Dail.
