Gates wins coveted aftermarket award

At the annual GroupAuto International (GAI) congress, taking place in Croatia from April 24 to 26, Gates was honoured as Supplier of the Year in the category ‘Sales’.

The GAI award, which is voted for by the members of the automotive aftermarket trading group themselves, is a much coveted title in the aftermarket.

In total 24 GroupAuto members – representing 36 countries across Europe and South America – have assessed the sales performance of all suppliers and had to value each supplier in terms of customer service, national bonus level, international bonus level, bonus payment and representation. Gates, the leading belt drive system supplier, came out as the best performer and was clearly recognised by the entire trading group as a key partner with an outstanding sales organisation.

The award was presented to Peter Verdonckt, Vice-President Sales and Marketing European Aftermarket, and Frank Nieuwenhuys, Director of Sales Aftermarket. Upon receiving the award Peter Verdonckt commented: “It is a fantastic achievement for Gates aftermarket team to have won this prestigious award.
