Glasurit online training platform to launch next year
From April 2020, spray painters around the globe will find specific answers to many questions around the clock on the new Glasurit know-how online training platform.
Tight deadlines are the order of the day for body shops. That means that every task you perform has to be perfect. And if something should go awry, a solution has to be available right away. Glasurit, BASF’s premium refinish brand, connects its customers with technicians and consultants who are happy to offer help in these kinds of situations. But not all problems can be resolved over the phone, and some questions have to be answered immediately. For these cases, spray painters and body shop owners can use the Glasurit know-how platform to find qualified answers to their questions right away.
The platform contains Glasurit’s collective knowledge about all aspects of the complex processes involved in automotive refinishing. The production information and technical data sheets are stored there as well. The database focuses on quick solutions for everyday questions that arise in the body shop. Whether they concern spraying pressure, temperature, the distance to the object or the paint system, all of the processes are clearly explained and broken down into small steps. Glasurit know-how users can choose whether they prefer to read the information in an e-book or watch a training video. This means that they can always use exactly the medium they most prefer to find the answers to their questions.
The individual modules are not only of interest as solutions for experienced users but can also be used to train new employees or apprentices. Glasurit has created over 100 videos and numerous e-books to start off with and has included a wealth of tips and tricks provided by Glasurit technicians.
After its launch, the Glasurit know-how content will be continually expanded, and not just for spray painters. In the future, Glasurit will also share its collective know-how online on all aspects of efficient body shop management. Body shop owners and managers can then use Glasurit know-how to learn how to measure and improve their body shop’s performance – 24/7. In addition, the online platform will also help make training courses more intensive. When participants prepare for the courses online, Glasurit trainers and technicians can create tailor-made content for a wide range of groups. After the training courses are completed, all of the important information will be stored in the database for the participants.
With Glasurit Know-how, Glasurit is providing its various users with a modern form of problem-solving and training. In this way, the platform complements the services offered by the Glasurit technicians and consultants and by the 45 Refinish competence centres around the world.
The platform will be available in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, South Africa, Spain and Sweden this year, before launching worldwide in April 2020.
