Glasurit to demonstrate technology and training Automechanika 2012

Glasurit is set to demonstrate its technology and training activities at this year’s Automechanika in Frankfurt, Germany, September 11-16.

The world’s leading trade fair for the automotive industry is  devoting considerable attention to the subject of continuing training at bodyshops. This year’s focus is on training for damage repair. The continuing training campaign with a total of seven workshops is meant to offer insight into the demanding challenges to be met by bodyshop’s.

In the Glasurit painting workshop, small groups of four participants will undergo a realistic rerun of almost all the automotive refinishing processes in a professional working bay. For three hours, participants will gain hands-on experience, from colour retrieval and paint mixing on the computer scales, cleaning and sanding the substrate, polishing and masking, applying basecoat, topcoat and clearcoat through to removing dust inclusions. Just like a day’s work at a real bodyshop.
