Gordon Cooley Coachbuilders has been steadily growing its business since 1978, offering both light commercial and private vehicle repairs to the Glasgow area. In 1994, the business started using DuPont Refinish paints. Since then the accident repair centre has become one of the preferred repairers of many of the UK’s top insurance companies.
The bodyshop continually looks for ways to add value to its offering and to go that extra mile to help entice repeat business – something that is vital in this highly-competitive industry. In 2008, Gordon Cooley Coachbuilders achieved the BSI Kitemark after all its technicians and estimators were trained and tested, according to ATA and BSI standards. And in January 2012, the busy bodyshop signed up to the re-vamped DuPont Refinish Lifetime Warranty programme.

Since the bodyshop joined the Lifetime Warranty programme, Craig has already noticed the increase in throughput. Craig says, “once we were part of the Lifetime Warranty initiative we received a wealth of promotional material such as bodyshop certification, external signage, a bodyshop user-manual which includes the marketing concept and frequently asked questions, a Lifetime Warranty repair leaflet for the customers detailing the repair process, the warranty details and the repair certificate, and a Lifetime Warranty key ring to remind customers of the guarantee they have on their paintwork.”
