July busiest month in four years for BMW aftersales
BMW Group Ireland has experienced a significant upturn in aftersales activity this year, with July the busiest month in four years , the company has reported.
“July was the busiest month of the year and better than any month in 2010, 2011, 2012 or 2013”, Paul Murray, Aftersales Director of BMW Group Ireland commented.
“This upturn was accounted for by a number of factors including: increased sale of parts to trade customers partly driven by a growth in sales of our ‘BMW Value Line Service Kits’ range, and also by Increased sales of accessories on new cars as BMW new car sales increased by 66 per cent and MINI new car sales by 112 per cent in the month of July over 2013 levels. And of course, we are see increased levels of service activity across the network.”
Murray added: “Undoubtedly, improved consumer sentiment is having an effect across the BMW Group network in terms of both aftersales and sales activity. It is also evident that many initiatives and investments taken to enhance our parts logistics including the investment in a new warehouse facility in Northampton is paying dividends. This new facility has further reduced delivery times for our trade customers ensuring that their needs can be met with the right parts supplied at the right time across the country.”
