Laser Tools has EV workshops covered

Laser Tools says it offers a huge range of insulated tools and safety products for electric and hybrid vehicles, developed in conjunction with leading car manufacturers and importers.

For the smaller workshop or mobile mechanic, this EV tool kit (part number 7383) is an ideal solution as it features fully insulated hex sockets, screwdrivers, pliers and side cutters, insulation sleeves and an insulated cable stripping knife.

All are fitted in foam trays which stack into the sturdy supplied carry-case, or fit neatly into the toolbox or roll-cab drawer. Suitable for live working up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC.

The VDE/GS-approved socket set is comprehensive: 16 x 3/8″-drive sockets, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 22mm; two extension bars, 150 and 250mm; 3/8″D ratchet and three spline bits, M8, M10 and M12.

The six-piece plier set includes cable shears, bent nose pliers, long nose pliers, flat nose pliers, side cutters and water pump pliers. The ten-piece screwdriver set comprises Phillips Ph1 x 80mm, Ph2 x 100mm, Ph2 x 150mm; flat 2.5 x 75mm, 3 x 100mm, 3.5 x 100mm; Torx* T20 x 100mm, T25 x 125mm, T30 x 150mm plus a circuit tester. A very useful cable stripping knife is also included.

The kit is finished off with a set of 10 protective 100mm insulating sleeves, designed to slide over high-voltage connectors and cable ends: 5 x 18mm and 5 x 24mm.
