Liqui Moly geared up for Automechanika

At Automechanika Frankfurt in September, Liqui Moly says that it will focus on its range for workshop and specialist retail customers. The company will showcasing its complete range at Stand B01.

These include new lubricants and additives as well as the revised car care line. Two technical presentations from the areas of research and development round off the appearance at Automechanika for Liqui Moly.

The spectrum of the full-range supplier for automotive chemicals, whose core business is lubricants, engine oils and additives, is described as “enormous”, which can be used by motor factors and distributors to generate more revenue.

Liqui Moly’s revised car care line is divided into the areas of windows, paintwork, tyres and interior. Around half of the car care products are new to the range or have had their formulas revised. For example, polishes have been developed further. The new formulations are easier to apply and buff up. New polishing sponges and cloths complement the range to suit this area of application.

Elsewhere, Liqui Moly will showcase its new Special Tec AA 0W-8, said to be the company’s thinnest engine oil yet offering maximum fuel savings and comprehensive protection for the engine at the same time.

In the commercial vehicle division, Liqui Moly will present its new Top Tec Truck 6150 5W-30, which meets the latest approval as per DTFR 15C130 from Daimler Truck.

Oliver Kuhn, who heads application technology at Liqui Moly’s mineral oil plant in Saarlouis, will discuss the development of lubricants in his presentation ‘ACEA oil specifications – a short history from the past to the present’. This will take place on Thursday, 12th September from 10:30 – 11:00 in the event area of Hall 12.

The following day, head of development David Kaiser will speak about oil and fuel additives at the same venue from 10:00 – 10:30. A new development in his department is the DEF Anti-Crystal Additive Concentrate. The additive for the reducing agent AdBlue protects the SCR system for exhaust gas after-treatment against damage.

Liqui Moly will be exhibiting at Auto Trade EXPO 2024, which takes place alongside the CV Workshop EXPO at the RDS in Dublin from 12th-13th October.
