Mirka launches new Cafro Ultra-Flute superabrasive grinding wheels
Mirka has launched its new Cafro Ultra-Flute superabrasive grinding wheels, which have been developed for flute grinding and other tool manufacturing processes.
The Ultra-Flute line consists of new superabrasive wheels for the precision grinding of solid tungsten carbide tools.
Mirka says these grinding wheels have the same proven combined rim-and-body design as its other hybrid-bond wheels, but feature an innovative abrasive formulation.
Mirka adds that its R&D team has worked tirelessly to develop the recipe for this abrasive composition. Thanks to this formula, the Ultra-Flute wheels maintain their profile for longer while ensuring fast, efficient and consistent grinding.
In fact, Mirka claims the Cafro Ultra-Flute has been demonstrated to provide a 20 per cent reduction in dressing frequency when compared to other top-of-the-line superabrasive wheels.
The quality and porous structure of Ultra-Flute’s abrasive rim allows for maximum utilisation of your grinding machine’s power. This, in turn, allows for greater stock removal rates without increasing energy or time consumption.
