Europe’s leading parts information data provider TecDoc, is delighted to announce that Mobiletron UK Ltd is the latest replacement parts manufacturer to join the ranks and achieve official data supplier status for its CATALOG system.
Mobiletron is a specialist in the manufacture of electronic systems and subsystems for the automotive industry and is a prominent supplier both under its own brand, as well as supplying several other well-known aftermarket suppliers with private label products.
Commenting on the agreement, Mobiletron’s technical and product manager, Michael Huang said: “Despite being active in the area of automotive electronics for more than 30 years, it is still necessary for us to expand our reach and raise the awareness of our brand throughout the sector.
“There are several ways to achieve this objective, but to have a presence on the predominant parts data system across the whole of Europe, is clearly a sensible approach as it allows us to appear on the computer screens of literally thousands of replacement part specifiers.
“In addition, many of the products that we produce, particularly those related to engine management such as Lambda sensors, crank angle sensors, mass air flow meters and even ignition coils, are often sourced through the franchised dealer network, and so lost to the aftermarket altogether. TecDoc users however know these products are widely available from aftermarket suppliers and understandably, we want to access more of this business.”
For TecDoc, commercial director, Shaun Greasley said: “The addition of Mobiletron UK on to the system is great news, as it’s another British-based yet globally operating business, that has recognised the benefits that TecDoc will bring to both the business itself and the industry as a whole.
“The ability of motor factors to correctly identify the parts their workshop customers require and know where to source them is of paramount importance and can make all the difference when it comes to the overall profitability of their businesses.
“The speed and accuracy of TecDoc gives users an advantage over their competitors and negates the need, and the extra cost, of sending customers more than one part in order to cover the multiple options that are shown under some model references on other less refined cataloguing systems. This enables the factor to supply the right part, first time.”
