More than 500 bodyshops operating illegally – Certification Europe

There are still more than 500 installations operating illegally in Ireland, according to Certification Europe, the only Interim Approved Assessor, to conduct Deco-paints regulations inspections.

These installations, according to Certification Europe are impacting negatively on the compliant businesses and the environment in many ways;

Certification Europe says everybody has a role to play in the enforcement activity and everybody needs to communicate with the relevant local authority or to the EPA on their National environmental complaints helpline (1850 365 121) if they are made aware of illegal operators.

Certification Europe produces a report monthly and sends it to each local authority and the EPA. The report highlights the levels of compliance in each local authority functional area and importantly the number of illegal operators.
