Motorist with no headlights, two bald tyres stopped by Gardaí in Dublin

An Garda Síochána recently stopped the motorist of a vehicle travelling with a number of road traffic offences.

Gardaí in Dublin were conducting a Covid-19 checkpoint on the Templeogue Road in Terenure when they stopped a vehicle with no working headlights and two bald front tyres. Gardaí say that the vehicle’s tax expired 299 days ago, along with having no insurance or a valid NCT.

The car was seized and multiple fixed charge penalty notices (FCPN) were issued to the driver, Gardaí add.
