Munster Technological University gifted EV for student training

Kearys Renault in Co Cork has donated a Renault Fluence Z.E to the Department of Process, Energy & Transport Engineering at Munster Technological University (MTU).

The electric car, which has a 22kWh lithium-ion battery, will be used to further educate students at MTU in the handling of electric vehicles.

Michael Ring, lecturer in the automotive department at MTU, said of the donation: “Continued industry support such as this is the lifeline of our department and ensures our graduates are equipped with the latest industry knowledge when they leave MTU.”
