New appointment at AkzoNobel’s Vehicle Refinish

Karen Collins has joined AkzoNobel’s Vehicle Refinishing team to take over the role of Sales Support Specialist, UK and Ireland from Laura Taylor who has stepped up to a global role.

 
Karen is already a well-known face at AkzoNobel having joined  the leading paints and coatings company in 2007. Her first position was as Customer Support Specialist, working on the rollout of the RBS contract. Since then she has progressed through numerous HR roles which have equipped her with the indepth understanding of the company which will ensure she can rise to the new challenge.
 
Karen’s new brief includes responsibility for introducing and maintaining products and services from the Sikkens, Lesonal and Dynacoat vehicle refinishing brands within the UK and Ireland markets. She will oversee the PR and marketing budget and will ensure that all three brands achieve a high profile, year-round, in the trade press and through the company’s brand websites. Other specific duties involve organising annual programmes of exhibitions and providing a range of tools and support to AkzoNobel’s sales and technical teams. Karen will be supported by Jon Amor, VR Premium Sales Manager, UK and Ireland, to whom she will report.
 
On accepting the job, Karen said: “I am very much looking forward to supporting our sales and technical teams, and to learning more about the technical aspects of our products.”
 
Karen Collins has filled the vacancy left by Laura Taylor, who is stepping up to a new Global Key Accounts role for Vehicle Refinishing as the Segment Support Specialist.
