New Spies Hecker Permasolid® HS Performance Surfacer 5320
The new Spies Hecker Permasolid® HS Performance Surfacer 5320 is flexible in its application for all kinds of repairs and is high-yield and tailored to the innovative waterborne Permahyd® Hi-TEC Base Coat 480. It creates a sound substrate every time.
Paint finishes have to meet high standards in terms of simple application, rapid drying and enhanced process reliability. They are even better if the refinisher has an integrated system to work with. Spies Hecker introduces a new surfacer to its Hi-TEC Performance System to ensure just that.
“Permasolid® HS Performance Surfacer 5320 is part of the new Spies Hecker Hi-TEC Performance System which is comprised of the Permahyd® Hi-TEC Base Coat 480 and the three HS Clear Coats 8055, 8650 and 8034,” explains Daniel Hartland, Spies Hecker UK and Ireland brand marketing coordinator.
Fast drying, increased throughput
The innovative, acrylic-based surfacer is distinguished by its high solids content. “This means refinishers need less material,” says Hartland. The economical surfacer provides excellent overspray absorption as well as good surface levelling. “The surfacer can be sanded quickly and easily after drying and can be applied in one to three coats. Its mixing ratio with Permasolid® VHS Hardeners is 5:1,” he adds.
In developing the high-grade Performance Surfacer, Spies Hecker has followed the trend in automotive colours. Along with mid grey and black, the product is also available in white. “By offering it in these three shades, the surfacer allows for excellent adaptation to the basecoat,” says Hartland.
Approved by numerous manufacturers
The 2K HS sanding surfacer has already been approved by various car manufacturers. “Car makers specify certain paint materials and systems for refinish jobs because they’re bound by their guarantees and warranties. It is becoming increasingly important to offer our bodyshops a complete paint system.” Hartland explains. With Spies Hecker Permasolid® HS Performance Surfacer 5320, bodyshops comply with vehicle manufacturers’ specifications and can carry out their refinishing work reliably and efficiently.
