On the spot fines on the way – EPA advises

On the spot fines for rogue bodyshops are in the offing, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confirmed to Bodyshop.ie

The EPA has confirmed that the legislation to underpin the implementation of fixed payment penalty notices is now on the statute boks at http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/pdf/2015/en.act.2015.0029.pdf, Section 21.

This is primary legislation and requires a supporting statutory instrument (secondary legislation) to bring the fines fully into effect. This legislation will be passed in the coming weeks.
