Paintseal Europe duo takes on Bangers4Ben
Industry leading, multiple award winning paint coating and aftercare provider Paintseal Europe (PSE) duo Operations Director John McLellan Grant and National Field Sales Director Darren Johnson are to take on Bangers4BEN.
The pair are one of over 40 teams that have signed up to this year’s Car Dealer Magazine charity rally Bangers4BEN that will run from the 11th to 14th of October.
This is the seventh year and for 2014, the charity run takes on a classic caper theme – The Italian Job.
Bangers4BEN will take in instantly recognisable locations from the much-loved 1969 big-screen hit. A four-day event, it starts in Dover on Saturday, October 11, with the final destination being the Fiat factory in Turin before heading home on Tuesday, October 14.
Along the way the PSE team will be driving along one of the world’s best driving roads, the Stelvio Pass, and dropping by Lake Como. Once the rally has ended, the car they made the trip in will be sold at a special auction at British Car Auctions, with all the proceeds handed over to BEN.
Darren said: “John and I decided to take up the challenge on behalf of PSE. BEN is a fantastic charity and we believe every penny raised is a great success story. Gordon Lamb Chesterfield has kindly donated a Toyota Yaris for our spectacular journey. I would like to give a huge thank you to for their support with this venture. We are looking forward to this epic challenge and we will be tweeting and posting our pics of the journey along the way- wish us luck.”
James Batchelor, editor of Car Dealer Magazine, said: “This year’s event is totally sold out and places were snapped up in a matter of days. Bangers4BEN was set up seven years ago to help raise money for the motor industry charity BEN and has proved to be a resounding success every year. It’s great to see PSE on the entry list and they’ve signed up for what’s looking like to be the best Bangers4BEN yet.”
