Ring Carnation to launch next generation in power management

Ring Carnation, the vehicle conversion electrical specialist, is set to launch its next generation of power management with the new Genisys II ECU system.

genisys II ECU Classic has more processing power, bigger memory, greater control capability, higher efficiency and new user-friendly service features. The new ECU is equipped with a high performance 32-bit 300Mhz Atmel Cortex-M7 processor with 2MB of on-board memory.

16 analogue inputs enable monitoring of multiple conditions such as battery voltages, temperature and pressure. Back-compatible with genisys mk1, gII ECU Classic uses RS485 RJ45 communications protocol. The new hardware offers greater operating efficiency aided by a new Class D amplifier, which offers higher fidelity ‘Voice Alerts’. The gII series of modules are built with ABS polymer enclosures with anti-microbial additives, providing durable and hygienic packaging with greater environmental protection. Later in 2019 and in 2020 further additions to the range will be launched, giving users a new level of power control.

Ring Carnation’s new Wireless Switching Power Hub can help reduce installation time by up to 35 per cent. The Power Hub provides up to eight output ports with a total rating of 60A, providing ease of connection for ancillary electrical items.

Switching is controlled via its Rechargeable Wireless Switching Panel and comes complete with 360° swivel mount docking station. The Switch Panel is fully backlit and, like the Power Hub, features switching indicator lights, and it can be used remotely from the docking station, all of which allows the user greater flexibility, ease of use and clear information about the switching status.

In practice, the Ring Carnation Power Hub can reduce the installation time on a typical installation with 1x light bar, 2x work lamps, 3x interior lights and a hand wash from three hours to under two hours.

The latest range of PowerSource Pure Sine inverters, which have been developed in line with industry requirements, is a more efficient range which includes extra features such as LCD information screens that can be remotely mounted, and new range additions including options with Integrated Electronic RCD (required to meet 18th addition regulations), which feature an IEC socket allowing easy–to- install socket extensions, plus the all-new 110V inverter.

All these products and more will be available to at the Ring Carnation stand 5C110 at this year’s CV Show.
