SEMA 2020 cancelled

The United States-based motor trade show Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) 2020 has been cancelled.

Organisers say this year’s event, which was due to take place in November, has been called off due to Covid-19 and the concerns that event facilities and services will be unavailable.

The decision will bring much needed clarity to an uncertain picture and will help exhibitors, attendees and partners plan accordingly, organisers add.

SEMA said that a recent survey shows interest in a possible virtual tradeshow with related live elements, and it will work with industry members to determine interest levels on specific alternatives.

Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO said: “While we are disappointed circumstances prevent us from hosting the Show in November, we look forward to getting everyone together in 2021 for another outstanding event.”
