Silver is the most popular car colour in the UK, according to analysis of almost 25 million MoT records.
The analysis was conducted by consumer motoring website, Honest John, which founf that 26 per cent of Britain’s drivers drove silver cars.
Silver cars also enjoyed one of the highest MoT pass rates, 62.9 per cent, making it the fourth best performing colour after beige, grey and black.
The data was gleaned from an honestjohn.co.uk study of all MoTs conducted between 1 October 2010 and 30 September 2011.
Blue (24 per cent) has taken over from black (14 per cent) as the second most popular colour. The top five was completed by red (12 per cent), white (nine per cent) and grey (eight per cent).
